They use the &quot;Historical-Grammatical&quot; method for reading and interpreting the Bible. They take see this assumption about the Bible as similar to the assumption of a naturalistic process, an assumption which they claim underlies evolution. They believe they embrace the scientific method...

Potentially useful questions: &lt;strong&gt;&quot;Is your theory falsifiable? I.e., is there any test that could be performed, that if the test succeeds, would cause you to reconsider your young-earth assumption?&quot;&lt;/strong&gt; The scientific method is about trying to disprove any theories it comes up with. The harder you try and the more you fail to disprove a theory, the more trust can be placed in that theory. (To accept the theory as scientifically sound, thus, there needs to be an opportunity to disprove it.)
